Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis: Why I’m Speaking Out as CEO of SCROOGE Casino

At SCROOGE Casino, we’ve always believed in transparency, fairness, and giving back to our community. That’s been our mission from the start — not just to create a great entertainment experience, but to be a platform that gives people something more. Today, we must address an urgent issue: the Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis. This crisis affects countless families, compromising their health and safety, and it’s imperative that we shine a light on this pressing matter. Below is an image that shows CONFIRMED E Coli poisoning.

Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis

The Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis has highlighted critical failures in our infrastructure that cannot be ignored. Many residents have reported issues with their water supply, including discolored water and various contaminants. Such problems have a direct impact on daily life, affecting everything from cooking to bathing, and have raised significant health concerns among families. Below is an image that proves labs came back with E Coli in their water.

Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis

As a concerned citizen, I urge you to understand the broader implications of this crisis. It’s not just about water; it’s about the well-being of our children and the future of our community. We must come together to demand better from our local leaders and ensure that our voices are heard.

Understanding the Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis

As we delve deeper into this crisis, we uncover alarming statistics. Recent studies indicate that numerous households in Alexandria have experienced water quality issues in the past year alone. This raises serious questions about our water management systems and the accountability of our public officials.

But today, I’m not speaking to you as the CEO of a gaming company.
I’m speaking as a citizen. A father. A human being. The business has nothing to do with this. BUT WE ARE SCROOGE we stand TOGETHER.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been involved in exposing something deeply broken a public health crisis affecting families, children, and entire communities, including the Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis. It’s personal. This crisis touches every aspect of life in Alexandria, from our schools to our parks, reminding us that clean water is a basic human right. It is our duty to fight for it.

Some have tried to discredit me, or question my motives. Let me be clear:

SCROOGE Casino is not a political entity.
This message is not a business position.
This is my voice, and mine alone.

For instance, families have shared stories of children falling ill, and some have even been hospitalized due to waterborne illnesses. These distressing accounts serve as a powerful reminder that as a community, we must prioritize health and safety over complacency.

We must take action now. Engage with local organizations, attend town meetings, and raise your voice against the negligence that has allowed this crisis to persist. Our collective outrage can lead to meaningful change. Don’t underestimate the power of community-driven initiatives.

I have poured everything I have into both building a company and fighting for what’s right —but I will never allow profit, comfort, or fear to silence the truth. Especially when that truth involves the health of children, the safety of families, and the erosion of accountability in small towns like mine.

To our SCROOGE community:
You are the reason we exist. And while the headlines may swirl and the attacks may come, know this — the foundation of SCROOGE is truth, transparency, and people first. We build orphanages, we help the widows, the orphans, and the poor and we give a voice to truth when those in leadership are OK with hurting the poor. Our commitment extends beyond gaming; we are advocates for clean water and public health. We are SCROOGE and we won’t stand for corruption.

Together, we can turn the tide on the Alexandria Indiana Water Crisis, ensuring that future generations have access to clean, safe water.

Absolutely have the wife and I’s full support. This must stop now. ✋️ We need to stand together more than ever in a world of corrupt leaders and abuse of power. Clean water is a basic human right. And knowingly falsified or lying in official reports goes so damn far over the line. There should be a lawsuit opened against them. We stand with you!!

      • Andrea Gresham

Thank you for speaking out about this issue!! Standing behind Scrooge 100%!

          • desiree stoff

This is “sick culture”.. not “well treatment”. Keeping us Ill is a control tactic and money maker. What we can not do alone we can do together!

      • desiree stoff

This is heartbreaking, but unfortunately not surprising.. elected officials who don’t actually care about their community, they only care about themselves. This is unacceptable – someone needs to be held accountable. We stand behind you 100% #SCROOGESTRONG

  2. Janet Miller

This is beyond my comprehension that nothing is being done about this. These are innocent families affected by negligence. We won’t stop until something is done!

      • Shane Giddens

This is absolutely terrible. I cannot believe that this is happening. Please please. Help.

      • Frank Beno

This is completely unacceptable. For years, governments pump fluoride and other neurotoxins into our water and now they shamelessly aren’t even providing any sort of socially acceptable water. We should hold them accountable.

    • Enrique Montoya

We have to protect our kids and our neighbors from danger and not turn our back on them. Thanks for speaking up Scrooge caeino,

Everyone deserves clean water, and it should be an easy decision to make by elected officials to keep it clean. This is absurd.

  5. Samuel E

Hopefully they get this sorted and that no one else is hospitalized because of this situation.

      • This is absolutely unacceptable. My son when he was 3 months got ecoli from some ducks at tractor supply. He nearly died from the dehydration. It is a very scary moment. Something needs done and some people need held accountable.

  6. Harley

We stand with you. This is disgraceful something needs to be done!!

  7. BRANDI CORBITT

This upsets me so much not because it has happened but because it is being covered up and ignored. There is no excuse for this behavior at all especially when lives are at risk. Someone needs to grow a pair and say that this is not right and fix this like yesterday!!!!

  8. Justin creager/ justin239

This is horrible like flint Michigan all over. They need to fix this immediately and compensate all people in the town.

  9. Lisa Richardson

That happening to y’all is awful/scary, too! I shared to my page. I hope/&, pray that an official helps the town and everyone dealing with that, soon to fix the issue. It shouldn’t be that way. I’m sorry. I care.

      • Kurrie Albright

It’s amazing that you have the courage to stand up and speak for the ones who cannot speak for themselves. Praying for you and all those affected by this crisis.

        • We must have the courage to stand up for each other. They can silence one but they cannot silence us ALL>

      • Brian Perras

It’s crazy what towns and cities are doing to their water supplies. You shouldn’t have to stock up on bottled water. Everyone should feel safe being able to drink their water and take showers without fear of Em Coli

      • Devan Jones

This is just awful and I’m sending prayers for all involved. Thank you for having the courage to spread the light!

  10. Joseph E Cain jr

someone need to do something no one should have to worry about there water and having officials cover It up!

  11. Codi

I stand with you and your community James! How horrible it is that the officials are staying silent and not taking accountability!
With your voice and platform hopefully we can get someone to listen and avoid any other children from having to be hospitalized.

    • Thank you Codi! I hope the whole vault stands up! We have enough to bring this whole thing down if we stand together.

  12. Sabrina Smith

It’s insane that so many people are getting sick and proof is n and still nothing is being done.

  13. Nicole Weiland

This is 100% not ok someone needs to be held accountable

  14. Jennifer Kierstead

Keep on fighting and we will help spread the word. There should not be any issues with water that we depend on. Sweeping huge problems under the rug won’t work!

  15. Lauren Hughes

Clean safe water is a basic necessity, this needs to be fixed! I hope this issue gets the visibility it needs to be corrected!

  16. Vanessa Burgess

How do these “people” sleep at night! THIS. IS. WRONG. FIX the MESS YOU MADE!!!!

  17. I believe in karma and well it can turn around and bite you in the ass. I’ll bet if one or more of them or a child of theirs lands in the hospital because of E Coli (I pray it doesn’t) but if it did they would be the ones on TV screaming at the president to help them fix this. It seems as though they have blinders on only see and hear what they want. This day and age it absolutely unacceptable and very unprofessional. It a disgrace to our freedoms of being an American. The positions they hold are meant to help your town, not help destroy it.

  19. Anitra Jackson

I have NO WORDS!!! How can something like this be happening in the ALMIGHTY US OF A???? This has to end now before anymore people are hurt or killed but this terrible atrocity!!! This has NOTHING to do with politics or anything else than the basic right of humans to have clean and safe water; the liquid of life!! NOBODY DESERVES WHATS GOING ON IN INDIANA!!!

  20. Ted

Absolutely disgusting. The officials that let/caused this happen need to be held accountable, but more importantly, the water needs to be treated ASAP

    • We agree and some need to step down and step aside. Especially those that hid this actively.

    • Water is the most essential aspect for life as a human being. Water contamination needs to be addressed and treated.

  21. Rachael

This is horrible. The fact they are trying to sweep it under the rug is unacceptable. Everyone deserves the right to safe clean water for cooking, drinking, bathing, and so much more! Praying and sharing because they need to correct this!

  22. This is 2025 and we still struggle to keep our families water safe this is outright ridiculous! Call your congressman and representative for your area hell you may need your water checked!!! I stand with the people of Alexandria!! Lets get these people some justice!!!!

  23. Jordan Ball

This reminds me immediately of the Flint water crisis…..

The Flint water crisis exposed thousands of children to contaminated drinking water after the city’s water source was switched in 2014 without adequate treatment. While the crisis is most widely associated with lead poisoning, the water also tested positive for harmful bacteria, including Escherichia coli (E. coli), which led to public health warnings and the need for boil-water advisories. This bacterial contamination, combined with the lack of corrosion control, created an environment where both pathogens and heavy metals posed serious health risks—especially for young children with developing immune systems.

Children exposed to E. coli through contaminated water can suffer from severe gastrointestinal illness and, in some cases, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which can lead to kidney failure. The Flint crisis exemplified how water system failures can have far-reaching and long-lasting consequences on child health, particularly in under-resourced communities. It highlighted the urgent need for stringent water safety regulations, infrastructure investment, and transparent public health response to prevent similar bacterial and chemical threats to vulnerable populations.

  24. Michelle paige

We are with you 100% no one should have to live in fear like that because of basic drinking water that is NOT ACCEPTABLE

      • It is shameful that the “most powerful” country on the planet has third world problems that won’t be fixed. I’m from Jackson Mississippi and the water has never been drinkable(yet we did) and has always been a big joke but there isn’t anything funny about it. Hope and pray something will be done not only for this but for all that need it .

    • Marcella Melanson

      Praying 🙏🏻🙏🏻 So sorry 😞

  25. Jordan Ball

As a health professional I thought it may be a good idea to briefly explain what E-coli is and its impact on our youth…….

Along with that a quick note on the current statistics regarding E-coil contamination and some figures that should really rock you upright and cause your blood to boil….

Then a brief overview of some recent notable E-Coli outbreaks amongst our most vulnerable and important pupils (our children!!)

My aim with this is to simply inform everyone on a real level and provide some understanding of this matter…

    —————————————————-
The key facts about E. coli water contamination and its effects on our children specifically!!!

    🔬 What is E. coli?
    • Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a type of bacteria commonly found in the intestines of humans and animals.
    • Most strains are harmless, but E. coli O157:H7 and other Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) can cause serious illness.

    ⸻————————————————

    🚱 Sources of Water Contamination
    • Contaminated drinking water from wells, lakes, rivers, or untreated sources.
    • Swimming in pools, lakes, or splash pads that contain fecal matter.
    • Poor water treatment or cross-contamination with sewage systems.

    ⸻————————————————

    👶 Impact on Children
    • Children under 5 are the most at risk of severe illness from E. coli.
    • Infections can cause:
    • Severe diarrhea, sometimes bloody
    • Vomiting and dehydration
    • Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) – a rare but serious condition that can lead to kidney failure, most common in young children.

    ⸻————————————————-

    📈 Statistics in the U.S.
    • An estimated 265,000 STEC infections occur annually in the U.S.
    • Around 36% of cases occur in children under 10 years old.
    • E. coli O157:H7 causes the majority of severe cases.
    • Outbreaks in children are often linked to:
    • Contaminated recreational water (lakes, water parks)
    • Well water in rural or suburban homes
    • School field trips or camps with animal contact or untreated water sources

    ⸻————————————————

    🏥 Notable Outbreaks
    • 2023 – Arkansas: Several children were hospitalized after a waterborne E. coli outbreak linked to a splash pad.
    • 2021 – Minnesota: 7 children hospitalized after exposure to contaminated lake water.
    • 2020 – U.S. national: Several small outbreaks linked to petting zoos with untreated water or animal waste.

  32. Charles Brooks

    Damn prayers it’s horrible

      • I wanna point out that an “official” who’s job is to serve is not answering the call to invest in your people and children, why choose to slither into the position that will do the literal most harm to those you’re duty bound to provide for. It’s sick.

  33. Michael Studer

This is such a disgusting cover up by local governments in this area it is sad and a shame that this stuff would happen and still be covered up in 2025 we have to do better as a species but people to greedy rather let people suffer by trying to cover their own butts.

  34. Traci Goodman

It’s sad to see people and corporations prioritize profit over simple human decency. Keep speaking the truth and what’s done in the dark will absolutely have its time in the light!

  43. erica nguyen / akirasugoi

i hope that. this will be taken care of and for those to get clean water to drink, that is just inhumane, as water is a basic human necessity, and essential for health and survival.

    • Jana

This is awful and if it can happen here it can happen anywhere. There is no excuse for this at all so I’m wondering is it a form of population control. Is this a poverty stricken community? I wouldn’t be surprised if this was not an accident. Shameless.

What a bummer when I used to live in Indiana I remember being amazed learning it was one of the only places I’ve ever seen that grows all the commercial agriculture with rainfall alone (and some of the world’s best topsoil in the mineral and sediments left over from the glaciers that covered north america) I couldn’t beileve the crops did not use any irrigation!! there’s so much potential for natural clean solutions to these kind of problems especially in that part of the states. It sucks When politics and corporate interest get in the way. Good luck, team Alexandria we are rooting for you.

  62. Tyanna linley

This happened to me in 2020 had E. coli the worst sickness I’ve ever had praying for everyone affected.

Absolutely ridiculous that clean drinking water isn’t something that mobilizes multiple federal agencies in an extreme, and expeditious fashion. Good on you all for doing this.

    • Joshua bell

If there was fraud. You should see if there is a list of past public employees in Infrastructure/Engineering. They may have some insight on it. Just a recommendation.

  76. Lucas Fortun

Someone is responsible for this, and will be held as such… First, we need to find a solution to this problem and sort thru the rest later. This is USA in the year 2025. Our voices will not be stopped. Good luck with that.

  85. Suriyatai Ratana

The water crisis in Alexandria, Indiana is alarming. Contaminated tap water—confirmed to contain E. coli and coliform bacteria—has already hospitalized residents, including a child. Independent testing shows dangerously low chlorine levels, yet city officials deny citizen concerns, refuse public records, and block oversight.
This is not just a water issue—it’s a failure of public trust. Immediate action is needed:
    • Demand transparent, third-party testing
    • Investigate infrastructure and financial mismanagement
    • Call for state and federal intervention
Clean water is a basic right. Alexandria deserves better—now.

  86. Ashley Stoy

This is absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. A five-month-old suffering from something as dangerous as E. coli due to contaminated water is unacceptable. What’s worse is the blatant lack of accountability from those responsible. Clean water is a basic human right, and trying to cover up negligence instead of taking immediate action shows a serious failure of responsibility. Sending love to the family affected this should never have happened, and those responsible must be held accountable. Thank you for bringing awareness to this!

  87. Madeline Tidrick

Jeez this is terrible, thoughts and prayers 🙏
